Kuune is the captain of the Catian ship that came to Earth. She is Eris' commanding officer as well as the head negotiator for officially befriending Earth. She seems to enjoy Okinowian food as much as Eris does, with an almost identical reaction.

Of all the Catians, Captain Kuune has the largest chest size, which greatly embarrasses her when she has to enter negotiations with the Japanese government, wearing what Eris told her was official attire for negotiations in a board room, even though they were actually wearing Japanese school swimsuits.

When Dogishuins attack the Catian Embassy, Kunne is incapacitated with a nono-machine virus, forcing her to give her Captain's bell to Kio. She recovers after the Catian motheship is saved.
