Marnie is the daughter of wealthy parents. She lives in the Marsh House. Her parents often leave her with just a nanny and two maids to watch over her. The nanny and maids often mistreat her. She often sneaks away from the Marsh House to be free of them. She develops a friendship with Anna during these times away from the House.

It is later discovered that Marnie is the ghost of Anna's late grandmother.
