His name was unknown from the anime, and often referred to as Hanai's Master or the Drunken Master, Itou Matakichi is Hanai's self proclaimed master who trains Hanai in the mountains, through a parody technique.

He refers to Mikoto as "dynamite sexy" and has pushed both Hanai and eventually Asou at the sports festival to make their moves on Mikoto.
